I opened a business and I need some advice. If you were dealing with a place that did grooming, behavioral training, counselling and behavior modifications for your pet no matter what species, what would you look for? How much would you want to pay? what services and or problems would you want help with? And what advice would you give?

I don't have business experience. This is just advice from a potential consumer of your services.

If I were to go to your business I would look for: some evidence you knew what you were doing and specifics too like if I were taking in a dog I would want to know you had experience with dogs. I would want the place to be clean. I would want it to be comfortable. I would want you to be friendly and knoweledgable.
I would want to read something about your services.
Honestly, I would want to pay a cheapish price. Call similar services in the area. Then you can charge competitve rates. Make sure you charge enough to keep your business running but not over what others charge. Maybe you can even have frequent visitor discount, a senior discount, etc... something to draw in certain populations.
What would I want help with? I would want help with bird plucking. This is such a difficult issue to deal with.
Tip: Dog barking. Use lemon juice. Been used in my family for years and works like a charm. (just squirt in their mouth when they bark for inappropriate reason).

I trust you opened this business knowing at least some of the answers on how to handle these matters. If not, and whether you do or not, I'll try to answer your questions. 1) I would look for some kind of certification, showing you have aquired some knowledge of these matters. 2) Pay-reasonable, not too high a price, but not cheap cheap either. 3) Problems? Spraying of a cat. Dog jumping up on people when they first come in the door of my house, proper nutrition and exercise for the dog. Advice: 3) Spraying by a cat: get the cat neutered. Also, if there are too many cats in the house, could be a territorial thing, remove the extra cats, or the one that is spraying, get it neutered, and into a good home elsewhere. Dog jumping up on people: train it by pressing your knee (gently) on them (chest) each time they jump up on you. Proper nutrition, see the pet store. Exercise, about a half hour each day of walking on a leash. Use a pooper scooper baggie, etc. when taking the dog for a walk. Hope this helps you. Any further questions, please consult a local vetranarian about your business, and the information you need. Take care.
