Potential upsets..
Lakers over San Antonio.. Since kobe has learned to pass.. he can be a dangerous player because people wont know if hes goin to take that final shot. Lakers can outrun the spurs when they start to gel in the second half of the season.
Thou Utah is great.. never underestimate tmac and yao.. Tmac can create shots and score effortlessly while yao can do the scoring too.. hes a defensive player against okur.. battier can guard kirilenko..

East
Miami over Detroit.. if wade getz back before ending the season.. he can start playing and beat detroit..

I agree with the Lakers won and the houston one, but dont be totally surprised if Denver has an upset (taking in count they even make the play-offs) but i think by then they will finally click, and they will have JR Smith back in the rotation, Marcus Camby will become as consistent, AI and Carmello can get used to playing with each other and find out what they could do to make the other better, especially AI finding Carmello open, and Steve Blake getting comfortable with the Denver (he's been averging like 9 assists the past 5 games i think, so i think hes getting there) Nene has to become more dominant as a rebounder and especially on the offensive end. Marcus Camby has to demand the ball more, not wait until the offense comes to him, because that's what he usually does. So if all this works out, then Denver can easily beat the number 1 or 2 seed (denver will either get the number 7 or 8 seed depending if they even make the playoffs.)

I'm not considering the East, because I don't see Detroit getting beaten, and its basically a crapshoot with the rest of the teams.

In the West, assuming Yao comes back on schedule, I wouldn't be surprised if the Rockets played, for example, San Antonio, in the first round and upset them. I'll also put Lakers as a long shot, based on the way they're playing currently: they have Kobe, and are still dealing with several injuries, so there's a chance that they could upset someone in the first round assuming they get all their pieces back in time for a run.

I think we all now that Miami will be a low seed in the playoffs. I do, however, think that they can make it past the first round. They have playoff experience and know what to do in any situation.
