Well, I tried.

Everytime a government of whatever type does anything it goes wrong. There's always some unforeseen consequence that no-one could know about, blah, blah, blah.

Both groups are have over-inflated opinions of their own ideas but because conservatives turn their ideas into government actions less often than liberals that makes them do less damage than liberals.

I see the liberals want the US forces out of Iraq., US gonna get its butt kicked again ? Vietnam, Cambodia, Beruit, Somalia, and now Iraq - becoming a bit of habit isn't it? With a track record like that I bet the international terrorists/rogue states (N.Korea, Iran) are scared stiff.

What does exactly 'worse' mean?..
Do you know the difference between "Liberal" and "Conservative"?
Answer: There is none
For instance: The Libertarian Party, the third biggest, and which according to the general definition of 'Liberal', is considered to be the most liberal of the major party's in its politics, was founded by break away hard line Republicans who felt that the Republican party had gotten too far away from 'true Republican' values..
And In the distant and not so distant past, many ideas and values by the so called 'conservative's' (Republicans) of today were considered 'Liberal', the best instance being the current conservative stance on abortion, gun control and immigration..
I know it sounds confusing, and it is..
The original republicans (the conservitives of today) believed in less federal involvement in state government, strict adherence to the constitition and the bill of rights (yes thats right, legalized drugs) no federal income tax, seperation of church and state..etc
Most of what are considered conservative values of today were considered quite liberal by our founding fathers and the founders of the Republican party................

Why does one have to be worse than the other? Why can't we look at a candidate on his/her platform and voting record, rather than what side of the aisle they're from or what state they're from.

I tend to support conservatives, because I feel strongly about the second amendment, and prefer a conservative, literal interpretation of our constitution.

However, liberals have great ideas, like universal health care.

It's important to look past the labels, and see the individual when you look at a candidate.

Well, they are ideologies. liberalism pushes for things like abortion, which is just scientifically and morally wrong. However, conservatism doesnt take the environment into account as much. I say the right combination of liberalism and conservatism creates a better society. And that is what American politics tries to do in general.

liberals - they claim to have ideas but don't have anything new to say.

The liberal spend so much time on a "non-biding resolution" that doesn't pass instead of taking care of things that really matter.

I also wish the liberals would stop calling Hillary a moderate. She's a socialist shrill woman that will say anything to get a vote!

Both are paranoid. One is consumed with Bill Clinton's (who is no longer in government... I repeat HE IS NO LONGER IN THE GOVERNMENT so you people should move on) semen --bizarre, but true. The other is obsessed with a conspiracy of 9/11 perpetuated by our own government. If I had to choose I would say the first one is more annoying and their redundancy is boring but its a close call.

They are both a menace. Conservatives don't want to help anyone and liberals want to give away the treasury to the poor.
