Hey Tim, how do you know for sure that it wasn't done already? I mean the cloning? And religion was put in place to keep us in our places- law abiding, devout religious people do not make waves. Besides, can you really swallow the idea that we all came from Adam and Eve and that Eve was made from Adam's rib?? Talk about fairytales!

They've clone animals and one day, may try to clone a human. But our DNA is so much more complex, they might not be able to do it. But even if they could, there's a moral question here. Is it playing God to create humans in this way? Many think so. As far as mixing our DNA with animals to get superpowers, this would never work. For one, our DNA differs from that of an animal that the two can't be mixed with sucessful results. And second, even if it were possible, It wouldn't create an super intelligent sub-species because animals are not as smart as we are. About your other question, science believes in evolution but this is false. The bible says Adam was the first created man by God. The reason I believe the bible to be true, is that the book of Revelation is coming true before our very eyes. If you look at the signs all around us (war, famine, earthquakes, pestilences, crime, pollution etc....) it's easy to believe the bible. Also, anthropologists have found pieces of Noah's ark. And we have a rainbow in the sky after it rains. The bible says God has placed it there to remind man that he will never flood the earth again. Also, the shroud of Turin has been found (the cloth used to cover Christ when He was placed in the tomb). All these things point to the bible as the truth!

Ethics. Mixing human and animal DNA would be like making a Frankenstein monster.
Evolution is a theory( which is why it is called the Theory of Evolution). The Bible is a statement of faith, which requires no proof. Of course science accepts nothing as fact which can not be proved and allows little room for faith. One would presume, God, being omnipresent gave Moses a vision of what occurred during creation, which by the way, does jive with the theory of evolution in that a big bang would naturally have been caused by a sudden large flash of light during an explosion. In the beginning the earth was without form, and was void(of life), the creation story in the Bible again roughly follows supposed development of life on earth which ended, of course, in the development of humanity. The rest of Genesis is recorded oral history passed down by earlier generations and other oral traditions of the people who became the Hebrews, or the Israelites.

1. cloning is not good because there is no need to create ANOTHER way to increase the population
2. Animals don't have superpowers, but if you mean a genetically altered human that has more tuned strength or sight or something the reason is because there is really no need for that either, all it would cause is problems! HAVEN'T YOU EVER READ A COMIC BOOK? all the villains are genetically enhanced humans that use their advantages over regular humans for evil!
3. science tries to offer "proof"
the bible tries to offer "faith"
both are trying to explain where humanity originated from, its up to you to decide which you will believe, just remember that neither has been proved as absolutely Right, or wrong.

For the 1st question: this act will result in people like Magneton and the evil villains in many shows. The act of cloning is already a controversial issue, let alone CLONING HUMANS and transgenic humans.
2nd: DON'T ever bring in religion when you are talking science. They are both different matters. When you want a scientific explanation, go for the scientific dogma. If you need religious approach, then go for that too. BUT never try to explain stuffs by COMBINING the two, especially by highlighting the discrepancies between them. This, will be disastrous and offensive. Draw a line between TRUTH and FAITH; FACT and BELIEF. This will make your life better.

I don't know about the superpowers thing. On the cloning thing, it is far cheaper to do it the old fashioned way. And a lot more fun.
Try reading an essay by Issac Asimov titled "Clone, Clone of My Own". It gives a good run down on Cloning and why human cloning is such a stupid idea.

I think they have tried it
coZ thiz idea must have been thought by some scientists
however, I think one's DNA is the dominant
that it won't result in such superpowers..

peace with you ,
i won't say "it's evil" or "they can't do this", although that's true.
but what i wanna say that all researches which treat with DNA and mixing or changing of it failed and will fail forever.
this failure happens when you wanna get something perfect ,
suddenly you face something say "Nothing is perfect except our God "Allah" "
look, one day i heard about creating goat named "Dolly" , and the world became exited about this ...!!!
do u know what's happened to it ?
it dead suddenly .
This is the DNA for every live-things in the world .
no one changed it before and no one will do,
thanks for your time,
