Because they are hypocrites. Love is felt not taught same for patience and kindness. I personally do not need religion to be a good person.

Although I am not religious. I am a follower of Jesus. I do love other people. I just love them enough to want to tell them that Jesus died for them and for me because of the sins that we commit. We all sin and He is the perfect blood sacrifice that we need for salvaton.

I love them enough to let them know that they can enjoy fellowship with Jesus, by knowing and accepting Him as the only begotten Son of God. And knowing that by accepting Him as their Lord and Savior and repenting (turning away from) their sins, they can have eternal life.

I don't mean to dominate. I don't wish to push conversion on any one. It is a free choice. But, God says, "NO SIN ALLOWED" in Heaven.

One need not have to adhere to any religion to love and respect fellow humans. De-facto it is religion which plays the greatest havoc on earth.Religious rivalries and hatred are the cause of great concern.
