No you can't use a conventional microwave oven to time travel. To the rip the fabric of time I would say the most promising things are extremely high speeds (approaching the speed of light, where time seems to slow down) and huge gravitational fields which can actually bend time.

No you cant..But you sure can make good popcorn. Of course it also depends on whether the fabric of time is made of dacron, nylon herculon or banlon. If its mercerised cotton it will not rip the fabric.It may scorch it a bit. The fabric of time could be torn if you accelerated the rate of time through quantum physics. It would be the smallest particle. But if you were to put it in a particle accelerator it might pick up enough speed to split a single atom causing the fabric so much pressure it may rip. The easiest way to do this is to grasp it in both hands and pull. If you pull hard enough it will rip I am sure.
