Golden Deli is very good, it is not west of the 101. I think that Gingergrass in Silverlake is the best, ever since Indochine and Le Colonial closed.

Golden Deli in San Gabriel. Hands down in LA County, the best Vietnamese restaurant. Otherwise head to OC...

I definetley recommend Le Saigon or Le Lai Vietnamese. Le Saigon is more formal though, if you go to it, be prepared to dress nice and pay hefty tips and meals are pricey.
