Generally speaking (with normal men), the penis will go from erect to flacid repeatedly while asleep. There is even a test that doctors suggest to check for normalcy in this area. A small piece of paper is wrapped once around the penis and the ends are taped together. If the paper is ripped the next morning it means that the man had at least one erection during the night. Oftentimes a man will actually go to sleep completely flacid and wake up with an erection. It is all quite normal. It has nothing to do with anything other than the state of arousal a person is in while sleeping.

The size of the penis is determined by blood flow. Blood pressure drops during sleep and less blood is flowing through the body, including the penis.

HOWEVER...most men experience spontaneous erections on an average of once every 60 to 90 minutes during their sleep. This apparently keeps the penis healthy by periodically increasing the oxygen supply.

Why are you watching a penis instead of sleeping? Not like we're going to use it sleeping,so it goes back into the body to stay warm.If you're lifting the blanket to watch it,it gets cold,so the body will try to keep it warm.Watch late night TV instead.
