I see it in conservative posts all the time. "Liberals think they are smarter than us"....."Liberals are condescending to us"....it goes on and on. Why do they feel inferior to us?

Conservatives aren't intimidated by the liberals. They are intimidated by the truth, which liberals don't always bring (911 conspiracy anyone?). I think they feel threatened because the person they represent is getting such a bad rep nowadays. Its not necessarily all liberals giving this bad view of the president either, it is pretty much anyone with a level head. They feel threatened that their blind party support has led them into a corner that they can't get out of, and they aren't big enough to admit that this Iraqi war is a botched job. I for one think that if everyone was capable of free thought, the president would have been out of office already.

of direction. every time liberals do something you dislike, they're certainly conservatives disguised as liberals. every time conservatives do something you compromise with, they're certainly liberals. as an occasion, libs say that social conservatives owned slaves, yet Thomas Jefferson and different Founding Fathers owned slaves . have been they conservatives?. Sen. Robert Byrd is an avowed liberal and previous grand dragon of the KKK. yet to respond to your question - maximum conservatives do not think of the KKK is a liberal or conservative corporation. they're in basic terms a set of stupid rednecks in white sheets.

And yet, you will pick an answer that only reflects what you feel, lik good ole lamplights, as the best answer. Who is truly more insecure-you or me? Your perception seems misguided, but who am I to tell you that? For I must be inferior because you said I was.

Don't give yourself so much credit. Saying "liberals THINK they are smarter than us" and "liberals ARE smarter than us" are two VERY different things! And how you determine that conservatives are intimidated by liberals using this convoluted logic is ridiculous.

I generally think the liberals that matter aren't arrogant or condescending. The ones that ask questions like this, well, they try to be condescending, but I'd have to respect your opinion for you to actually succeed.

Some conservatives feel intimidated by Liberals because if Liberals don't like your opinions, they will gang up and storm the stage. This is intimidating because Most Conservatives are nice, gentle people. The rest of us, however, do not feel intimidated on any level.

Intimidated is not the right word. If someone is condescending, it does not imply they are superior, merely arrogant.

I think conservatives feel towards liberals as someone responsible for looking after a small child: OMG, the kid soiled himself again?!

Ya, right. Inferior to you liberals? You've got to be kidding! You guys can't hold an argument, you aren't able to debate, or back up your statements, you don't make sense, or have any sense of reality, and you believe your own lies! I will be kind and just tell you that Conservatives find you guys very annoying, and destructive to the country- never intimidating.

REAL Conservatives are hard to find nowadays. the ones with the big whiny yaps are the neoCONNED and they're already feeling insecure because they know they've been duped by their neoCON leaders and simply can not admit it to themselves so they project their feelings of betrayal and insecurity onto Liberals.

of course it doesn't help when Liberals say "neener neener! told ya so!"
