6" to 8" and thick is perfect for me, as long as it's being worked correctly. Bigger can be a bit painful. I've always said that there's a thin line between pleasure and pain. That's not beating around the bush (no pun intended) lol

I'd say a good 6 inches, or longer. It is more about friction for me, not as much about size....really, its not.
