No, its not true. The only talk out of Pittsburgh is about George Laraque out of Phoenix.

As far as Souray is concerned, the Canadiens do not plan on trading Sheldon Souray before the Feb. 27 deadline, says the Toronto Sun. The defenseman is expected to test the market, however, when he becomes an unrestricted free agent this summer.

No Souray. Georges Laraque and Gary Roberts for Noah Welch and Dominic Moore.

The Habs would want too much from the Pens so I do not expect to see Souray going there. The Pens are not looking to unload of their young talented players so if they do go shopping it wont be for a high profile player.

I live in Pittsburgh, and the news hasn't reported anything on this at all. They have been talking about trading for Laraque from Phoenix.

Souray to the Pens? I don't think so, but God I hope it's true.

That would mean the Canadiens pretty much gave up on this season, as well as into the future, as Sourray is too good for them to get rid of. I can see them bringing someone in to build a core around him and Koivu, but not him leaving.

They don't need an offensive d-man, they have Gonchar who is having his best season ever.

Besides what would they trade him for without breaking their nucleus, they have a bunch of untouchables and the Habs need a 2nd line centre.

I couldn't see the Candians being willing to trade him so I highly doubt it.
