this is perfectly normal. i was twelve when i got mine(am 14 now), and i had gotten it in a february, and didn't get it again until July. This is perfectly normal. She doesn't need to worry, but if it makes her feel better, she can talk to her doctor.

I got my period a couple of months before I turned 12 and for the first year it was irregular....28 days apart 42 days apart etc. It takes some time to get regular so dont worry ....another reason is having a low body weight might prevent periods but if thats not the case dont worry. It takes some time for a young ladies body to get on a schedule. I am 29 now so I have had some mentrual experience.

It takes the body quite awhile to get all the hormones regulated so that there is a schedule. A lot of adult women don't have regulated periods. And although that's probably the reason for this, stress can cause you to be late. If she's freaking out about something at school or whatever, that could do it also.

Yeah, that's pretty normal. The cycle will take some time to regulate (it really depends on the individual as far as how long that takes.) Tell your friend not to worry. Some girls don't have regular periods until they are 17 or 18.

well if she is still just new to the whole period thing could be she is not regular yet. I remember at that age I used to skip months here and there. If for certain she has not has sex than no prob.
Stress can cause you to miss a period or be late also.
If she is really worried about it I would suggest she talk to her mom or an adult female she can trust.

That's completely normal. I got mine when I was 12 (now 22) and i got mine around every 20 days instead of every 28. My friends got theirs ages 12-14 and some of them didnt get it again for 2 months. Trust me, after a few years it should balance out.

Its normal not to get it every month when you first get your period sometimes you wont get it again for several months it takes about two years for your period to becaom normal. There is nothing wrong with it its normal and she'll be okay but she should probably carrie a tampon or pad with her at all times because it can star t anytime and anywhere.

Because her cycle is still not regular. During the teenage years this is normal. Some times it takes having a child to regulate your period. I would recommend it for that though. At least that was my experience.

Her periods might have skipped a few times as she is not eating enough. If you dont eat enough your periods will stop until you start eating normally again. Start watching her when she eats, does she eat much? If she does eat a lot then this wont be the problem.
