Do you want to be married to him while he is in Iraq or do you want to start fresh when he gets back? This is all up to you, but it might be hard to meet his deadline unless you pick a date quick and get to planning. Might be best to talk to his and your families abou this.

If you're going to get married so soon anyway, why not just get the engagement ring right away? Plus, you have to decide if you will get married before or after he gets back. It would probably be best to wait until afterwards though, since he is leaving this summer already and it takes awhile to plan a wedding.

it's cute i sell them every single day when i work at the jewelry store but the majority of the time when i ask the guys what's the occasion they usually say, it's basically to keep my girlfriend quiet.

he should have saved that money towards a ring since you guys are planning to get married soon.

p.s check to see where he bought it because at my company you can trade in the ring for something double the value i.e bought the promise ring for $200 pick out something for $400. so you can wear it for now but when the time comes you can trade it in.

congrats!!! =o)

Do you want to get married? Think about it it's all on you. If you get married it might be hard on you while he is in Iraq. While he is in Iraq you might want to *explore your options* an might ruin your marriage. If you wait than you will have time to plan a wedding. If you rush you might be marrying someone you might not see in a couple of months or years and the wedding probably wont be as good.

Realize that you have a wonderful man who is an unselfish hero. It is going to take a special type of woman to be his wife since he is in the military. Can you be the type of understanding wife that will remain faithful while he is off serving his country?

You have a keeper there.

Good luck!

aw, that is really cute. You have a great man there. Don't begin planning for the wedding until he gets back and has stood before you in all his unselfish glory. It would suck to plan a whole wedding to find that... complications arose.
Congrats, good luck and have a great wedding!

Wait until he comes back, that will get both of you time to plan for your wedding.

Wait until he returns and gets his next duty assignment.

Just be patient, don't hurry true love. It will give him something to look forward to when he gets home.

P.S. give him a big kiss from us on here to say "THANK YOU".
