k i'm 12 and I just started my period last october of 2006. it's not really "on schedule". I've heard that's normal during the early times, but just making sure.

Yes, irregular periods are common and completely normal. Nothing to worry about! :)

It is very normal to not be "on schedule" when you have just started having periods. Your hormones are still kind of wacky but will straighten out. Keep a diary on your calendar so that if you need to see the doctor, you will be able to show him your period schedule over several months. Don't forget, you can now get pregnant so don't be having sex.

Oh yeah, I started the beginning of 6th grade and then didnt have it again for like 4-5 months, and then it wasnt regular to the day for a few years. It will take a while, you're perfectly normal dont worry : )

Yep, it's normal for periods to be irregular for a time after you start. Your body is going thru adjustments right now to this new change going on inside of you.

it's completely normal. i was always irregular, until I started taking the Pill. I wouldn't recommend that at such a young age though. your body needs to figure itself out, give it time.

That is absolutely normal. It will take your body some time to regulate your cycle.

that is normal, but if you're sexually active then you need to consider taking a pregnancy test.
