To see a snake or be bitten by one in your dream, signifies hidden fears and worries that are threatening you. Your dream may be alerting you to something in your waking life that you are not aware of or that has not yet surfaced. The snake may also be seen as phallic and thus symbolize dangerous and forbidden sexuality. The snake may also refer to a person around you who is callous, ruthless, and can't be trusted. As a positive symbol, snakes represent transformation, knowledge and wisdom. It is indicative of self-renewal and positive changes.

I also suffered from this dream, that they were slithereing below my feet in my bed. It used to scare me too. Until I consulted a dream analysis book. It said that snakes are a phallic symbol and are connected with a sexual desires. It also said if you dream of snakes (and if your female) you will marry an old man. I dont know what that means exactly, and it is a little bizarre but after I read it, I stopped dreaming about snakes!!

They can be both. Sexual needs unfulfilled or people in your life are going to betray you. Ask the snakes why they are coming to you and write the answer down.

I used to have reoccurring dreams of snakes covering everything and having to tread through them... even though I was in some sort of hurry... It was always terrifying and I always blamed it on Indy Jones and the Last Crusade... though I may have had them prior to seeing it, I dunno. I'd say: tense environment.
