No, not unless they're nitroglycerine jellybeans. But those would be dangerous for you to make, so don't.
The chances of the gopher eating them at all are pretty slim anyway. They're herbivores and only eat grass, roots, or other plants.

I don't think that's true. I know mice can't burp, so if you give them some soda they will explode.
