Brokedown Palace is the movie with Claire Danes and Kate Breckinsale. It takes place in Thailand.

Linda Blair's "Chained Heat" and sequel "Red Heat", and Claire Danes's "Brokedown Palace" are 3 of the best. From the '60's try "Switchblade Sisters" if you can find it.

Brokedown Palace is more authentic than anyone chooses to think. In its own way it is more credible than Midnight Run. No one much likes it, though, because it doesn't end happily.
My favorite, though, is the 1958 Susan Hayward, I Want to Live. Talk about impact. It doesn't end happily either.
