say, as an american passport holder, is it possible to swap with a someone of a different nationality for their passport (therefore they will become american, i will become another nationality)?

That question is so insane I almost didn't answer.

It is illegal and moronic to swap passports. How about giving them your credit cards and bank account numbers too? If you or they want to immigrate to each others country, do it legally.

Passports do not make you a citizen of a country anyways, and both nations police forces would probably be VERY interested as to why you have someone else's passport.

Nope. Your passport is a legal document issued to you by the federal government, because you are a US citizen. Possession of a passport does not affect your citizenship status.
