Why are Scorpio's so dark?

For whatever reason as a scorpio I tend to glide to everything that's darker like film noir, or night time, and darker colored clothes.

That is not surprising. The favorite color of scorpio is usually black and maroon. Scorpio is all about the darker side of nature - they are the brave souls who came back to learn about adversity.

I'm an Aquarius an the last thing I want to do is watch a horror film or collect knives or do anything like that! I like collecting clothes, makeup, jewelry, books and other stuff, nothing remotely DARK though. My other Aquarius friend isn't dark either. I have a Gemini friend who is kinda dark though. *shrugs shoulders* depends on how you have been raised. Also, I had a Scorpio lover who loved horror films and other weird stuff, he was the dark on in the relationship. I was the happy girly girl. DARK is the last word you would use to describe me and my Aqua girlfriend. Honestly, you can't assume that Aquarius or Scorpio are dark. It depends on how you were raised and your friends, ya know, your influences. And every one's natal chart is different and there are about 3 different types of every zodiac sing.

Cuz scorpio's tend to focus and the darker and deeper/ more serious side of life. It's just part of being a scorpio. SCorpio is the embodiment of depth, power, control, desire, and understanding of the "darkness" in the world. Blame it on ur planetary ruler pluto!! Pluto(hades) is the roman(greek) good of the underworld. I think that's pretty self explanatory. People think scorpio's are carzy -u guys do have a pretty nasty temper and can be quite vindictive- but the truth is your just more evolved then others. Your not scared to "fall" into the darkness and the unknown. Scorpio's are quite curious, All in all scorpio represents power and mystery -and mystery is often associated with the dark- it's not just astrology. It's a psychological thing too. What's funny is that astrology ties so easily in with psychology. There are no multiple gods though, it's just a symbol.

I too am a Scorpio. And I believe you when you say that you tend to go toward more darker things - because I do too. From what I've read, Scorpios are either extremely light or extremely dark.

I am a scorpio (born nov 21) and I hate the dark and am a general wuss. I dont think that it has anything to do with you being scorpio but rather your friends, upbringings, or surroundings

That's just the appearance. Inside Scorpio people are loyal, fare, intelligent, tolerant, deep in emotional matters and really mysterious. Their inner dark side is the revengeful nature. It doesn't matter you dress dark, what does matter is the people that appreciate your qualities and like you for the person you are!

I knew someone who was a Scorpio once.

He was loud, obnoxious, thought about only "One" thing, rude, extremely jealous and possessive, controlling, bossy, short(in height), too self-confident, and a smart-***.
