They enforce ridiculous laws which should never have been passed. They have far too much power and are rarely held accountable when something bad happens. We only hear about the cases which catch the media's attention but you can be assured that's because the rest are squashed. They are there to ensure the status quo imposed by the upper class. In short, they are the hammers and we are the nails. My answer is no. Everytime I've been forced to deal with them has been a joke.

Due to the fact that I was a police officer for 26 years I understand and appreciate the officers and what they do.

Yes. They're so much better here than India. In India you can easily bride police and get away with a lot of things... It's crazy. But yeah, I like the system here :)..

Only when they are protecting and serving, which is very rare.
Rest of the time, they are enforcing laws that I completely disagree with.
About 99% of the laws on the books are unconstitutional,
And need to be removed.
Most police officers are just mindless enforcers of tyranny.

I would really like to, but the way the police are nowadays it's kinda hard. They're overzealous, and the government is turning our states into police states. They don't need warrents to search your car anymore. They don't even need a reason to pull you over anymore. It's getting TOTALLY out of hand.

Yes, I do. Most of them are honest and genuinely care. Unfortunately, 1 bad one gives a ton of them a bad name.
