We lived near Central Station on Broadmead Road many years ago and that was quite nice. Near to the primary school and a big park, 30 minutes walk to the high street and seaside. But to check out the areas now you can use www.upmystreet.co.uk and check the ACORN profile which should give you a fair idea. You can check the house styles by looking at the photos on www.rightmove.co.uk Our house was so big it was divided into 3 -and at times 4- flats.

I don't live there, but I know a good thing about it. It is a port with ferries, so it's not very hard to get out of England.
