I agree with the last poster, why in the world would you want to live on the Southside? I went to elementary school at Highland Hills in the mid 80s, and it totally sucked (I doubt it was any good when my dad went there in the 60s). I think I was the only native ENGLISH speaking kid in my class, so naturally I had a huge advantage in school there. Luckily, my parents moved us out of there before I ended up like most girls around there, knocked up by age 14. Anyways, I'd suggest staying out of the downtown and southern areas of SA. Try the NE or North sides of SA if you want your kids to get a decent education.

I went to Highlands. It was a good school when I graduated in 1990. I don't know if it's gotten better or worse. If you move to Southtown, you will be out of that district. Brackenridge would probably be closer. Fox Tech is in the downtown area and would probably be the school that is within Southtown's district. I went to Fox Tech also. But only for a few quickie night school classes in order to graduate. I liked it there. It's a nice school as far as architecture goes. Good luck with your move.

There are some extremely good ones and a super sort of people will answer with very distinctive techniques. I coach in San Antonio at a intense college. do not pass to that one. yet, I do propose Boerne ISD that's on the Northside approximately 30 miles north of San Antonio and additionally in case you would be interior SA, the NE boundries are super, then i'd say in all probability MacArthur. that's a superb sort of distinctive ethnic communities and monetary communities. certainly not Reagan or Alamo Heights. Too caught up and intensely WASPish. you're searching for wealth and status, then i think there you pass, yet whilst your toddlers are the variety who would be a splash distinctive, like skaters or artists, then those are actually not your faculties. Helotes is super. San Antonio is extremely super. in actuality the eighth best interior the U. S.. So, according to danger you are able to narrow down what area you're shifting to.

They are probably not the best schools. That said, they aren't bad either. If it is an option for you, there are two pretty good private schools in the downtown area. Central Catholic for boys and Providence for girls.
The SA school district has magnet high schools that a student can attend regardless of residence if they meet the entrance requirements. I know of aviation, health careers, business careers, etc. So, if the student wants to excel, there are options available.
