Why should college athletes have special treatment?
I think our society today has placed too much emphasis on sports, to the point it means more than academics in school.
An athlete should have to be able to balance academics and the sport, not be cut slack cause they play a sport.
It depends on the severity of the arrest record.
And I dont think the university should be held liable, they cant control the athletes actions, but the scholarship should be cut off.

I think a college athlete should be held at the same standards as non athletes or even at greater standards because they are supposed to be role models and people look at them and their status.

As far as the arrest record, that really depends on what it is and the situation. People make mistakes and those mistakes shouldn't be held against them the rest of their life.

It would be absurd to hold a university liable if an athlete commits a crime because they are not responsible for the actions of the athletes and have no control over what they do. However, if they are caught commiting a crime, then they should be punished.

Yes to the first question, no to the next two.
Academic standards should be the same for everyone. An arrest record shouldn't bar someone from being an athlete--everyone deserves a second chance.
Everyone should be responsible for their own actions. The school shouldn't be responsible for athletic students any more than any other.

I believe so, if you commit a crime than you are no the kind of person that should be representing your school. Athletes are students, and shouldn't get special treatment.

This in many circumstances encompasses a U.S. representative, 2 U.S. Senators and the vp of america. The nomination software procedure is resembling employing for a school, and being in my opinion commonplace with the guy from whom you're searching for a nomination isn't required." that is from steps for admission. you would want a nomination from someone like a congressman. they must be prepared to appoint you with reliable grades and community provider.
