it means that movies and books dont show you what real love is like, it isnt all that romantic garbage, its being 75 and still holding your hand, or bringing you water when you have to take your medicine. love happens over time. most people these days give up too fast to even know it could have happened. everyone thinks life is instant gratification due to movies and tv. life is hard, life is work, love takes patience.

If you have a preconceived notion of what the person you will love must be like, you are at a disadvantage since that person probably does not exist.
