I do not agree with abortion, however, I do not put down someone who has had one. Its a personal beleif and one I stand by. I believe all babies no matter how they were conceived are innocent and deserve to live

Well I disagree with it. How do you explain how we are here? There are limited reasons to have an abortion 1) if you have been raped and you just can not live with the fact of the rapist child inside you.. I can totally understand, but you will have to prove you have been raped.. not just say it. 2) If there is no way you can medically survive the birth and it has been proven. 3) really goes with 1.. but if you are pregnant from incest.. this is a reason as well.
If we were to kill a child after birth it would be murder.. so why not charge a woman with murder if she has an illegal abortion? The "fetus" which is a baby has a heartbeat well before it is detected on an ultrasound. Which would make it a living thing a human mind you. If the beginning an egg and a sperm come together and in the end.. there is a innocent human life. What makes it ok to kill? You are taking away a life.. a life that did not ask to be here.. what gives us the right to take it. Abortion is not a birth control. This is why there are SO many different types out there. If you know that you do not want to have children and abortion would be an option for you.. why not just have your tubes tied or removed if you must??

No, I don't agree with killing innocent human beings, and that is exactly what every single abortion does. For more information, see:

I agree. I do disagree if it is just being used as a form of birth control. I am a christian and I believe in God. My God is loving and forgiving so I dont think that it is murder think of all the miscarriges women have. 50% of pregnancys are lost without the mothers knowledge. There wouldnt be any room in heaven for the rest of us if all the babies had souls. I do disagree with partial birth abortions. If it came down to your wife, mother, sister, aunt dying or having an abortion what would you want her to do?

(a)Protect human rights: Yes
(b)Accidentally pregnant (there are NO accidental pregnancies, if one CHOOSES to have sex one CHOOSES ALL of the consequences of the sex act one of those CONSCQUENCES is PREGNANCY...so it is impossible to choose to have sex but accidently get pregnant)
(c)Lack of sex education: Yes
(d)Poverty: Yes
(e)Population control: No it's too late for that anyway
(f)Health problems(eg. age) What does age have to do with health problems? Health problems yes...Age depends on the choice of the woman.
(g)Others: I don't know what "others" can be so I'll have to abstain.
I always have been always will be Pro Choice

Agree, A

Reasons: It's a woman's right to decide what is going on in her body. Pregnancy and motherhood is scary, and labor is often unrealistic. I have been in a situation where abortion WAS an option and I can honestly say that I have never been so mortified of my fellow Christians.

Because I was pregnant and unmarried (though engaged), we were kicked out of our church. I do not hate God, but let me tell you--all of those Christians who say that abortion is making God cry make ME cry. How dare they?! How dare they take away a woman's reproductive right?! Who is to say that God isn't with them, holding their hand as they go through the abortion?

It's funny how everyone is so worried about an unborn fetus yet no one wants to worry about them years later when they can't afford basic necessities or are born HIV positive and addicted to Heroin.

Making abortion illegal isn't going to change anything but the percentage at which mothers die from infection. I would rather see my daughter get a legal abortion than sneak away for an illegal abortion and die from infection.

I agree with abortions and are pro-choice 100%. It is the mother's body and choice. Nobody is killing anything because a fetus isn't alive.

What I find funny though is all you people who disagree with abortions except for rape cases. I don't understand how you are all are upset when it comes to any other unborn fetus, but you all are ok with "killing" a rape fetus? Shouldn't each one be treated equally. Doesn't make sense to me.

this is what i believe:

there is no reason why a woman should get abortion BUT if the child is unhealthy mentally ill and its going to become very difficult for the mother to take care of the child then yes i would say terminate the pregnancy anything is better than watching the child you brought in this world suffer

as far as "accidentally" getting pregnant i guess someone should have never had sex then huh?

Definitely agree with abortion. Every pregnancy/childbirth is a risk to the life of the pregnant female. If she chooses not to take that risk, no one has the right to stand in her way.

This is a political question about abortion and thus belongs in the Politics and Law forum. Abortion related questions only belong here if they are seeking practical information or advice on a specific situation.
