i have a 98 yamaha r1 do u need to rejet the bike with a micron slip on.?

my headers are turning red. but its cold out right now. here in n.y. its 35 degress out and i turned it on to run it. also how do i clean my carburators out. the bike runs perfect and idles great.

No, the only thing you may wanna do is shim the needles. If you had a full system then buy the jet kit.
