I dont get it....I love hippies.....what makes people not like them??

Fear. People are afraid of what hippies represent. They like to be in their little boxes - it's safe. Hippies blow that paradigm wide open! It scares the sheeple.
I love hippies, too!!

hippies are annoying, Lets say...every body in America was a hippie, and then terrorists attacked. What do you think the hippies would do? They would offer the terrorists flowers and pot.
Hippies act like 5 year old. They go around protesting ever damn thing. But hippies are still around today, and you know what we call them?- Liberals!!!

Funny that you should ask this, we just finished watching "Easy Rider", which is sort of a hippy/drug culture film. At the time, hippies were considered "free spirits" and society as a whole first, feared anything they didn't understand, persecuted anything different from the accepted norm, and "hippies" would buck against the system for anything they didn't agree with, example: the Viet Nam war, the "establishment":authorities who tried to tell them how to live, and wanted general populations to follow a code of set life styles, morals ,ethics, acceptable behaviours. Its not what you'd call rascism but for lack of a better term, its very close.In the slang of their "day",Right on ! and Peace my sister!

Just go live in San Francisco with all the other hippies. When it gets attacked by terrorists, since you hippies hate the government and think there's no need for a military, all the military needs to do is just wait for you all to scream, HELLLP!!, we were wrong!!

Because most are slackers who are a drag on society and blame America for all the worlds problems. I use to be a long haired but NOT HIPPY.....Hippys are morons.

because they smell of patchouli, listen to bad music (please read... all jam bands) and they don't know how to assimilate in US society.
