well, sponge was originally going to be a gay sponge on comedy central, but then he switched to nick. since mostly little kids watch it, they wouldnt get them anyways.

Yeah. They do it so that adults can enjoy the cartoon too, while kids don't pick up on it. Spongebob is gay.
