that's a good question.. i remember seeing her on ONE episode of laguna beach but i never saw her before.. but then again, we obviously don't see everything that happened on laguna beach.. there were a lot of random characters so not everyone of their friend s was cast on the show, she was probably with lauren and everyone behind the camera. and in one episode of the hills (2nd season) she mentioned that she knew kristin personally, so she must have been around some how! but yeah, i don't think they were ever as close as they are now.. but they definitely knew each other.
/ i know this is not part of the question, but i love heidi now! i HATED her in the beginning/middle of the first season, but she proved to be a good friend...
i feel bad about what they're doing to audrina though.. i have a feeling we're not getting the whole story.

I think it was a total set up. I've never watched "The hills" and I've only watched Laguna beach like 3 or 4 times in my entire life. Those are the dumbest shows ever. It's just a bucn of spoiled and rich sh*t- head kids who have never had to work hard for anything in their lives cuz mommy and daddy give them everything. And they are so bored with their own lame lives that they create drama for themselves!!! But it's MTV everything on MTV is fake. It's all for shook value. And most "reality shows" are scripted. And Y do u waste ur tme watching such retarded shows -y do u wanna see other people living their lives??- don't u love yours??

hmm good question.. i think it kinda looked like a set-up since Heidi was only on one episode of Laguna Beach so she wasnt seen much with Lauren before the Hills.
I loveee the Hilllsss its one of the best showsss everrrr + Heidi needs to be nicer to Lauren cuz shes right : )

they were! because before the hills there was laguna beach! and hiedi was with her sometimes and she wasnt even part of the show!

I never really thought about that! And come to think of it, I don't ever remember seeing her on Laguna Beach and I thought that Lo was Lauren's best friend....
