Does this show media bias or not??

Question

Last week a former head of the AC LU was arrested for having violennt child porrnograpy on his computer. Not a murmer on any network about this (except FNC). If he had been a Republican or a member of the Bush team, what an uproar there would have been!

He's probably argue it was freedom of speech anyway. I think the ACLU needs to be banned from this country.

I would have to agree that the 'former' part of it has to do with a lot of it. There wouldn't be any motivation for media to hide it on purpose anyway...it's not like they hold party memberships, as that would be a conflict of interest.

Is the ACLU supposed to be the American Civil Liberties Union, a lobby group? If that is the case, there is a good chance that the person is now a private citizen and not a public figure. If it was a current or former ELECTED official, or the current head, that would be quite different. If FNC is the Fox News Channel, I'd be mighty suspicious of the circumstances of the case, if only one outlet is reporting on it. It doesn't seem like a national news story to me...more like a local story.

In addition, according to Wikipedia, the ACLU has been critical of both Democrat and Republican policy.

In regards to your last statement, yes, there would have been an uproar, assuming that it was a high level Republican...or any high-ranking public official for that matter. In a response to your formal question, I'd say 'not'.

FNC? Is that Fox? That's a very unreliable source.
You can count on the American media to stick it to anybody, left right or otherwise, in such a situation. I suspect the reality is much different from what you say.
