Depends which Superman...the crappy movies and cartoon Superman or the comics Superman...Because if it is the comic Superman, Goku doesn't stand a chance, Superman has unlimited stamina and thus never gets tired, Goku does not, Superman can turn back time, Goku can not, Superman is invulnerable to phisical harm, Goku is not, Superman doesn't need to breathe or eat, Goku does, so unless Goku found some kryptonyte there is absolutley no way that Goku can defeat the Man of Steel, and this is from a guy that thinks Superman is corny and that he sucks....

Two options superman can breathe in space like frieza and pull goku out of the atomosphere and its an auto death. or goku can go super saiyan 4 solar flare him then spirit bomb into dragon strike either way its whoever is the smartest fighter as goku once said

strong = goku superman
fast = goku superman
weakness = goku his tail superman kryptonite
power = goku kame hame ha superman eye laser
goku's tail already gone so he does not have any weakness
if goku got kryptonite, superman is going down

Altough both are the most powerful mortal chracters ever ,only 1 can win.Brathing in space and turning back time won't win a fight.Goku has more control over longer periods in a fight over his speed supes is fast but only in certain situations does he show his fight speed .Strength please don't get into it they both fluctuate but Goku's is really due to him already having his but kicked.if he focused his chi into strength alone hed have more feats but his are focuse all over toward fighting not lifting.they have both been seen punching people across the planet with ease but you must remember supes isn't compleatly invunerable due to him being hurt by people like Doomsday.And goku 's power is never the same level,ex if him and supes sparred for 1 hour he'd be alot stronger thats the beauty of Akiras design for him and he never stops training and to me earned power is alot more powerful than given strenght.Before anyone pulls prime out remember Goku is the up to date version of Su Wu Kong the monkey king whos sories are pretty much the same which means Kong became Budda choosen by the higher Gods and Goku became the Dragon God Same thing Akira wants you to think not just make assumptions for his chracter.But thats another story,Goku has too much power for supes to hang with and with his traning and that little ss4 trick of becoming immune to certain attacks after his body has learned it.It seems supes will have to get sun-dipped and pissed off ,lets just say someone showed Supeman killing Chi chi now lets see the outcome.akira showed us that Gokus power only increases not decreases over time.look back and look carfully at him in Gt being able to level his sons in his normal state while the were in ss and him punching 17 across the planet when he was only ss1 while no one else could even scratch him and they were ascended Vageta and Gohan. in his norm Goku punched a huge underground drill across a lava bed with 1 punch ,it was larger than a tank.I saw Goku do to his sayin Dna traing upper levels. and his will to win.Planets will be wrecked in the process.wizard thaught it out and voted on knowledge not popularity no 1 is as popular as the icon but one is stonger and will win in a battle with alot of broken bones of course because supes will show everyone a new level of power in this 1 as well going out like a true warrior to a better warrior.Picture this Superman and Goku summoned by the Spectra Standing atop the world trade center on 911 who wants to battle those 2.Both flags flying behind them unity like no other.Brings tears to ya eyes huh? Goku not only is he way stronger but he wouldn't even need to obtain kryptonit because he could just use his instant transmission to transort them away from the yellow sun and supes would be powerless.
