Eric Gagne for Bronson Arroyo. Team A has Gagne, Team B has Arroyo. Who is getting the better deal?

Can't really say, if Team A already has say a Nathan and a Wagner and it's starting pitching is very weak then they do it. They to get Otsuka as insurance for Gagne. To me, Arroyo is almost waiver wire fodder anyway. You can get a better starter if you keep your eyes open. Often times Jeff Francis goes undrafted. I was able to pick up Cole Hamels in ALL of my leagues at about mid season last year. Just knowing who will be good-last years Verlanders and Lirianos.

The team who's getting Arroyo. Bronson Arroyo has a lot of upside as he showed last year. Gagne also has super upside, but is also a larger risk. It also largely depends on what kind of league it is and the other pitchers Team A and Team B have. If it's a keeper league, Arroyo would be ranked higher, if it's not, then it would be a little bit closer.
If it was my team I'd take Arroyo over Gagne.

the team that gets gagne, team b. arroyo had one good season, which ended in a not so great way. gagne, though injured, can easily be this year's papelbon, wagner, hoffman, nathan, or whatever. i still think he's the best closer ever because he strikes out more than half of his victims

right now, it is a wash. Depends on whether or not Gagne can come back.
