I see a lot of people on MySpace with their sexual orientation being marked as NOT SURE.

it wasn't until recently that this was a question. The vast majority of people are heterosexual. But people tend to think they have options now a days. This is especially true of young people. Youth is a confusing time. Hormones are running amok. Even some adults become confused if they find themselves attracted to someone who is outside their sexual orientation. How much harder it must be for kids.

There are a few reasons I can think of. One being that person is trying to leave their options open. This way they can do whatever they want on myspace with whom ever. Myspace tends to be a place of lies and sex. Another I know of is a person that likes both sexes and doesn't want to put one or the other down yet is not confident enough to call themselves bisexual. Another is police that search the internet for predators. They too keep this section open so they can catch as many pedophiles as possible.

because they have only dated one sex but are open to the possibility of switching to the other side?
Who knows what will happen in the rest of their lives so why should anyone choose a specific box to fit in? It's not like height where you stop growing..
What does myspace let you choose from? Isn't that just their way of saying "open minded" as opposed to choosing either gay or straight?

Perhaps they like both women and men and are uncomfortable with that, so they check unsure until they either pick one over the other or become comfortable with their bisexuality.
