I have seen some online pictures of a duratech focus which had a timing chain set up instead of a belt. I am not sure if it was an aftermarket configuration or not. Does anyone know? My Focus is a 2005 model year with the standard 2.0L Duratech (non PZEV version).

Both versions of the Mazda designed Duratec 2.0 & 2.3. are all timing chains. No more broken belts to worry about. Most newer 4 cyl cars and trucks are now chains.
