Can you all of a sudden have sensitive nipples and not be pregnant? I'm still three weeks away from having my period so I didn't think it was that. I've been on birth control for 8 years so is there still a possibitiy for hormonal imbalance?

It is possible to have a hormone imbalance even on birth control pills, although for some kinds of hormone imbalances, birth control pills are a good treatment. I've had sensitive nipples some months as part of my PMS symptoms, and obviously, not been pregnant.

You don't have to be pregnant to have sensitive nipples. Just in the past few years, I get sensitive nipples a week or two before having my period. Im 31. Hormones is my guess.

mine have done that before and Im not pregnant or anything so I would say nipples are really sensitive. Also if you were pregnant you boobs would be very tender also.
