Gently lift it off my head and carry it outside and release it. Unless I was already outside, then just let it go.

It's happened to me before. Really, freaking out is the worst thing you can do, as that would likely get the spider agitated and more likely to bite you.

Most of the time, if you stay calm and just casually flick your head, hair, or *gently* flick a hand across your face, once, it will be enough to dislodge the spider, no harm, no foul.

Which I think is a good thing since we need all the natural predators around we can get, as far as insects go, right? ^_^

Besides, there's only really four species of spider at most who are both venomous *and* have a bite strong enough to break human skin:

--Tarantulas,
--Black widows,
--Brown widows, (same genus, two different species if I recall correctly), and also
--Brown recluses.

Tarantulas will at worst only make someone as large as a human adult sick....it's mainly infants and small children you have to worry about. The widows are poisonous enough to really make people sick, or possibly kill someone if allergies or heart conditions are an issue.

And Brown Recluses...they don't have enough venom to kill a human because the stuff they have is mainly about the pain and flesh-eating effects. Meaning, they'll hurt like hell and leave a gnarly scar, but that is about it....

(well, unless you do something sadistic, like crazy-glue a Brown Recluse *egg sack* to someone's underwear or something....I was tempted to do that exactly one time in my life, but couldn't find any of the spiders, never mind the egg sacks)

But yeah, for the most part, spiders are your ugly, creepy friends. ^_^ We'd have way too many bugs around without them, so chill and be nice....live and let live, right?

I wouldn't do anything. I have some as pets, i had one living in my bathroom for months until my mother-in-law came over and used my restroom and when she came out she said i killed a big spider.
I said why he eats other insects i could have at least put it outside.
I'm weird i guess but i believe everything has a purpose and is here for a reason.

I would freak out, pass out, scream at the top of my lungs, and have a heart attack.

I would ask it to whip me up an especially pretty web hairpiece for my special date tonight, then give it some marshmallows.
