You are eluding to a logical paradox where someone ALWAYS lies, then says "I am a liar"

You didn't make the absolute condition so logically, yes, there must be truth to the statement - you are simply telling the truth with this particular statement though anything else you say may or may not be suspect.

A liar doesn't have to lie all the time to be a liar.

It is a completely truthful statement.

Two possibilities -

#1) You are a liar - and it happens that you are being honest about it at this moment, or,

#2) You are actaully truthful. But wait, saying you are a liar would then be a lie. Which makes you a liar after all.

There might be. Most 'true-false' logic problems rely on an assumption of complete and invariable truth or falsity. In practice deceitful people tell the truth at least some of the time, and even basically honest people might lie from time to time. So a person could truthfully admit to being a liar.

Yes. You may be a liar, in which case the statement is true. You may not be a liar, in which case you're lying about being a liar which still makes the statement true!

I'm pretty distrustful, so if you tell me you're a liar, I believe you! It's people who say "I am honest" that you can't trust! Tee hee!

I don't know enough about you to say. It is not a paradox, since a "liar" is only a person who tells lies, not who always lies. Occasionally a liar can tell the truth, but still be a "liar."

It actually depends. Like the statement: "This is a lie. Am I lying or not?". It all really depends on the background of the person, or his or her points in life.

Humankind are liars. Therefore, given you are a part of humankind, the statement is unabashedly true.

I think everyone lies sometimes but it is a very bad habit.

Sure, you didn't lie that time. (Forgot the word always).
