why do educated foreigners think that american schools are so easy? are we as americans more stupid then the rest of the world?

Foreigners aren't smarter, but they are often better educated. Unfortunately America's education has ranked very low among industrialized nations for quite a while now, at least I've been hearing about it for the last ten years or so.

It's also been true that seeing the students come to America is a biased sample because they're often rich since they usually pay their own way. However, anyone who is unhappy with that state of affairs might find a change coming along fairly soon, since a combination of increased difficulty in obtaining visas to study in America along with an increased focus on scientific and technological research has made the United States a less appealing place to study and they're instead going to places like Canada, Ireland, Singapore which are making strides and rapidly growing thriving research communities because many of the world's best and brightest have simply decided coming to the U.S. isn't worth the hassle.

It's small now, but the trend is set to accelerate. The situation's not going to change anytime soon, but there's a chance your kids won't have to worry about foreign students at all.

Why do Americans think educated foreigners are so egotistical and snobby? Are we more fun and easygoing than the rest of the world?

The rest of the world is a big place. I think Americans would fare better in education than most. According to UNESCO, worldwide there are about 1 billion non-literate adults. That's not including the ones answering questions here.

Only rich, educated, born with a silver spoon in their mouth comes to the states for an education. They are arrogant and haughty and want to brag about their accompolishments.
Does everyone where they come from have a good education?
If their colleges are better than why are they in our colleges?
What are they doing here?
Most other countries the general population doesn't go to school.
So it is no mystery why the rich elite are snobs, from other countries. They had tutors and servants and all they had to do was get up. Many kids here work their way through school.
In this farming community kids milk cows and take care of farm livestock before school.

Those educated foreigners usually are also rich foreigners. I'm guessing they're trust fund babies for the most part. Private schools all their lives and such.

I'm Native American and always got higher grades in college than the foreign students, though. It depends on the person.

Some countries especially in Europe usually have longer schooling periods and less fluf in their curiculum. Kids have to study, if they don't get GREAT grades they aren't going to college, no matter how much money they have. The test are more difficult and they don't have fill in the blanks oral or written so they must comprehend everything. My best friends are from Prague and Budapest and when they came to America in the 6th grade I was astounded by how much they knew. I thought they were just smart. But then year after year more european students started coming into our classrooms and they all just blew away our American counterparts... our school system is lacking.

well yeah itstead of paying for childrens futures and keeping this the best country in the world 20-30 years from now we give it all to more important things like our glorious militery most americans can't see 5 minutes into the future more than whats gonna hurt us years from now

We have a lot of immigrants therefore schools can't be as good as we would like. On the other hand, we are the world leader!!!

Seems to me we are the smart ones and they are the stupid ones.
