Apply for as many scholarships and grants that you possibly can. Even if you don't have a lot of trouble paying for college, you ALWAYS need some extra cash to use for personal needs and college supplies. Money money money!

I wish I knew back then that high school wasn't bad at all...I would definitely trade the amount of studying I have to do now for what little I had to do then. I also wish I had spent more time with my friends rather than working so much or wasting it on some of the guys that I dated. Most of them have gone off to colleges in other cities or states, and I miss them so much!

Getting an education is way more important than getting a date!
I didn't really have to settle on a major the day I walked onto campus my freshman year. Chemistry and biology in high school is not the same as chemistry and biology in college. Lastly, I wish I knew how to study before I went to college.

Most of the people you go to high school with won't matter after you graduate. You will lose touch with them. Focus on school instead of trying to be popular. School is much more important than any boy or girlfriend but still try to have fun. Don't stay tied down in a relationship.

The things that I wish I knew in HS have nothing to do with college -- and everything to do with the opposite sex.

The fact is that from an academic point of view, I would have been better off skipping the last three years of HS and going right to college. I learned nothing during those three years that is of any use.
