Is it okay do just never start? I think i would kinda feel unsecure going through store with my boob showing! But i heard unless i dont breast feed that i'm not gonna be as connected to the child. I also wanna feed it with a bottle so it gives the daddy a chance to bond with the baby.

There are so MANY MANY benefits to breastfeeding.

There are already several questions on here about it... but, here goes!

Benefits to the baby include (but are not limited to):

Antibodies from mom (including antibodies to any illnesses (i.e. chicken pox, measles, etc...) mom may have immunity for.

Less risk of menegitis.

PERFECT nutrtion. You milk is tailored to your child. It is EXACTLY what your baby needs to thrive.

Lower risk of SIDS

Lower risk of food allergies

Lower risk of colic

Lower risk of obesity later in life

Breastfed babies tend to have higher IQ's

Benefits for mom include (but are not limited to):

Lower risk of breast cancer

Lower risk of diabetes

Convenience (get a good sling and you can do almost anything while caring for your baby!)

More sleep: babies need to eat ALOT in the first months and with nursing you can co-sleep and get ALOT more sleep!

Loss of weight faster: the uterus of a woman who never breastfeeds, never shrinks down to its original size... plus breastfeeding burns about 300 calories/day. I went from a size 8 pre-pregnancy, to a size 2.

This just brushes the tips of why breastfeeding is better than formula.

I liken the two to a fresh whole-foods diet compared to living on junk/processed food.

Breastfed infants tend to be open to more, different and healthy foods.

Man, i could go on and on!

Nursing in public does NOT mean you have to have your boobs hanging out! There are nursing shirts, nursing shawls... and plain old layering, to prevent exposing yourself!

Daddy can bond in PLENTY of other ways!

My son squiels with delight when he sees his daddy!

Daddy (in our home) is in charge of feeding regular food, playing, and bathtime. What do you think dads did 200 years ago to bond?

i think of maximum people have indexed the optimal transformations here. basically a pair of recommendations to function. Breast milk has the fore milk (watery, thirst quenching milk) and hind milk (wealthy, fatty and relaxing milk) which follows a jiffy later. when I convey, that each and all and sundry gets mixed mutually, so each so often my infant has to have some water as nicely to make valuable his thirst is quenched. I went back to paintings whilst my infant became into 3 months, so pumping became into the sole way he gets my breastmilk interior the day time. So from that time of view, that's a real valuable. yet when I had the alternative between breastfeeding or pumping, i could p.c. right this moment from the breast each and each time.

my cousin doesn't like breastfeeding in public so she doesn't so it in public. u can always pump milk. not every women feels comfortable breastfeeding in public so they choose pump than give the bottle to someone else to feed because sometimes the baby won't take the bottle from the mother.

try it out and see how it works.
