I prefer to use Pennzoil for initial use. After getting 50,000 plus miles, I like to switch to Mobil 1 synthetic. I have used Slick 50 in combination with Mobil 1 a few times. My father, a mechanic, rebuilt an engine we had on a pickup that we had been using Mobil 1 and Slick 50. He said the internal parts looked brand new.

by my own personal opinion i use Valvoline but probably because i grew up with my father using it faithfully and he never had any problems. regardless of what kind of oil i use though i swear by a brand called Lucas. these guys make an engine treatment for all applications 4, 6, 8, cylinder and also the Wankel engine also known as the rotary engine. it comes in pint containers and you add about half of that every time you change your oil. this "goupy" concoction from Lucas keeps the top end of your engine lubricated even after sitting all night or for that matter for a few weeks. it is a great alternative and alot more affordable than running synthetic which i think is over rated anyway. Lucas also added lost power, decreases engine noises and overall does a great job for new cars that usually need to be broken fairly slowly to keep the odds of a long engine life high.

Mineral based oils are all pretty much the same, as for synthetics I like Mobil 1.

I prefer Castrol or Quaker State though I've been using Havoline for a few years now. When I'm in Europe I only use MOL

I use Quaker State and if you have car with high miles on it they have oil for that too most oil companies have oil for high miles. Its good for the rubber seals and o-rings it makes them like new.

I think Castrol and Valvoline are pretty good.
They are all basically the same.
If you want a good oil, you should try synthetic

I have always trusted Castrol and they have never let me down. For a synthetic I think I would go with Mobil-1.
