Over the past ten thousand years, there have only been a few thousand years where civilizations actually used gravestones or some sort of markers to signify the existence of a grave. And before then, the dead weren't always buried until that became part of human culture. As for "all the dead guys," not every human being that has died has salvageable remains still existing. When anything dies, it will eventually decompose entirely into a carbon-based material. Skeletons don't last that long.

How on earth did you arrive at that number 40 billion?
In any case, you seem to be under the impression than a human body, when buried, will last indefinitely. Bodies decompose, including bones, within a few hundred years.
Also, if your logic were true, then it would also disprove Genesis ... unless you can explain why 10,000 years of humans should produce 40 billion graves ... but with only 6,000 years of humans, the problem goes away. Eh?
Why do some people try to disprove evolution with logic, but would never dream of subjecting Genesis to the same scrutiny?

You have far too many false premises. 10,000 years for humans? What's that have to do with the length of time burials were in vogue? You're assuming:
* all cultures bury their dead
* all cultures use marked areas for cemetaries
* all markers last a long long time
* "if evolution were true?" Oh, come on. There's no evidence to the contrary. Besides, your question has nothing to do with evolution.
Finally, your numbers for life span and number of people are way off. The best estimates state that there are more people alive today than lived throughout recorded history.

If evolution were true. Interesting. Boy, you got us dumb types who have confidence in the Theory. Unknown to most - but soon to be exposed by you, is the fact that we've been STEALING all the tombstones and grinding up all the bones to make sure no one discovers that evolution is full of glaring falsehoods and contradictions. Only us totally dishonest types with an agenda of amassing a fortune by preaching Evolution on TV (and eventually taking over the world) and asking for contributions from our followers can possibly reconcile the facts we see all around us with our obviously false theory. Boy, you got us. Good thinking!

Your math is a bit off, that's ok. It's good thinking.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_population
That has a chart that is assumed to be accurate.
We double every 25 years in living people occupying the planet, in 1975 we were at 4 billion, today we are at 6 billion, in 2025 we could be at 8 billion.
That's alotta peoples.
The math is funny. but it is also very alarming.
Smile and enjoy today, leave the world a better place than you found it and all will be good.

For one thing, some primates started showing human characteristics a couple hundred thousand years ago. We've only been burying our dead for a couple thousand years. Dead people usually only stick around for a few hundred years-they rot and are consumed by worms. There tombstones crumble away. Lastly, most ancient people prefered funeral pyres to burial-the bodies were burned.

Humans are organic, which means eventually they'll decompose. And obviously the graves back then were not as elaborate as the ones we have today.
