I don't know what's going on. I have irregular periods, horrible acne, and really oily hair. I think it could be a hormonal change, but I'm 20. I thought I was done with adolesence. I'm a virgin, so I can't be pregnant. And I already take birth control for my periods (but it is a very low dose). Should I get a higher dose of birth control. Please help. I'm getting worried.

You need to talk to your doctor and get your hormone levels evaluated. You could have polycystic ovarian syndrome, which means you need more than just hormone treatment. It's can make you infertile if it goes untreated, and can lead to diabetes also, so please get checked out.

Talk to your doctor about trying another form of birth control. It sounds like your hormones have changed some which is normal for your age. You go through lots of changes leaving teenage years just like entering them. Try using some witch hazel on your acne about three or four times a week. It really helps. Put it on some gauze and make you a face mask out of it. Adding a drop or two to your shampoo could help, too. You can also make you a face mask by using the gauze on your face and adding orange slices to it. Just dampin' it with a little water the add the oranges. Before putting the mask on your face use a hot towel on it to open your pours, then use a cool one to close them when you are through with the mask. This will work better than any high priced stuff you can buy. And if you are anything like me, you can't afford it anyway!! LOL I studied all of this in cosmetology and have tried it myself. It your skin ever starts getting dry use oatmeal. Good luck!!

Have your dr check you for hormone imbalance such as due to thyroid or a syndrome called Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome.

If you have not talked with and been examined by a gynecologist, please do so. They are the specialists who deal with your kind of problems. Also, have your thyroid function checked. This gland in your neck regulates the reproductive organs, and if it is not putting out a normal amount of it's hormone, this can cause weird symptoms, but it can be corrected. Good luck to you!
