I want to replace the Windows XP desktop icons with new icons I've downloaded. I've tried right clicking on properties, but the 'Change Icon' button isn't there. I'm guessing for the system icons there's a more complexed way of changing them. If anyone can help, that would be golden.

You must right click the icon on the desktop, then click 'properties', then click 'change icon', then click 'browse' to find and select the icon of choice.
