PS3 is better. It can do anything the 360 can do plus more. I should say it has the capability to do anything through firmware updates. The Sony online network is developing at a rapid pace and will soon be on par with xbox live.
Another selling point is the PS3's movie capabilities. It can play dvds and blu-ray disks with out any bulky add ons. The optional 60 gig hard drive allows you to store more videos on your PS3 as well compared to the 360's 20 gigs of space. Sony also has a major foothold in the movie industry and talks are already underway to start offering movie downloads through gaming consoles. Between Microsoft and Sony, who do you think will have more movies to offer?

Sony also puts major emphasis on backwards compatibility while Microsoft did enough to get by and then forgot about updating their compatibility list.

The price is not comparable between the two because the PS3 offers much more than 360 straight out of the box. As has been said many times, if you were to add another 2 20 gig hard drives to the 360 premium you would be at the same price as the 60 gig ps3. Tack on the external HD-DVD player for the 360 and you're now up to $750 which is more than the PS3 and its Blu-Ray player.

The list goes on and on, but if you still need selling points for the PS3 there are only 2 really worth mentioning.
1. Metal Gear Solid 4
2. Final Fantasy XIII
