Why would you want to protest a movie? If you disagree with it's violence, then simply don't see it. Film is a form of art, and is protected as a right and freedom, not to be banned or edited. Protesting a movie is absolutely pointless and will have no effect on anything.

About 13,000 people were murdered last year in the United States. Over 89,000 women were raped. And over 2 million residents of this country suffered in some form of violent assault during 2006. So why, when our society is becoming so immured and so passive to the harm being inflicted upon our friends, family and neighbors, would we tolerate the release of yet another movie not only glorifying violence, but doing it in even more of a heinous and haunting nature?

No need to write to the newspaper. By writing you would probably doing publicity of that movie. If you do not like then write to MP to make laws to restrict violence in the movies.
