Sorry, I haven't heard that song, but to fail at something and not continue to keep on trying. Many very successful people failed at numerous things that they attempted in their life, but determination to keep trying and working hard to succeed even after failure, discouragement, and lack of support from those around them; went on to prove themselves right to keep on believing in themselves. To waste your life is to give up and fall into a routine that you are settling for, rather than going after what you know your full potential should be just because of a setback, or many setbacks.

for me personally a waste of life would be accepting or believing a liberal philosophy....considering the damage it causes society. tax and spend doesnt work, cut and run is a joke and if i beleived in the welfare schemes my self reliance would be in question. if i was that type of an individual guilt would overtake me.
