I mean like Annna Nicole smith was mentioned much longer. It was really sad but Steve Irwin was a huge Animal Icon and as a teenager he was my Idol. I got his signature shirt and had a couple of things. I had 5 copise of his book. It was just reeally sad and I dont feel as that the media payed a trubute. It was on for a an hour or two maybe but that was all. Can someone tell me why?

It bugs me, and seriously annoys me. I adore Stevo, and he really should have recieved more attention, but those annoying news casters didn't have the 'time' I suppose.

Because Steve had family and friends that TRULY loved him, not a bunch of media seeking money hungry people around him

I think because of the controversies around her.....she in the middle of a paternity dispute, she married an elderly billionaire, he son died several days after she had her daughter. People found her fascinating. I do think that it is sad that he did not get as much recognition,

well, on the things that i watched and heard, he was in the news for about two weeks...i found out in the morning, and it kept going, i think, until two weeks later, so yeah. but then, i was only watching local news because that all i get at my house. yeah, it was so sad that he died. if i ever made it to australia, i would have made every effort to go see the zoo, or something, where he works.
