Which college??

Question

which colleges would you recommend going to for a bio/pre-med major???

Penn State
University of Pittsburgh
Syracuse
Binghamton
Saint Joesphs university
Stony Brook

........and why??

I don't know much about Binghamton. As I recall, it is a decent liberal arts colleges.

As for the others, I'd put thim in this order:

1. Penn State
2. Pitt
3. Syracuse
4. SUNY-Stony Brook
5. St Joseph's

Syracuse and Pitt are probably comparable -- but I would never recommend a school that has orange as one of its school colors.

Penn State and Pitt are great schools for Pre-med. I would pobably chose Pitt though since it is in a big city and I feel that would make the medical program much stronger. I was going to go to Pitt until I recieved a better offer.

I recommend going to either University of Pittsburgh or Penn State. Both universities have strong medical and bio programs and both are leading schools in the field of medicine. Penn State's children hospital got very high remarks from Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Evaluations for their care to its medical, surgical and trauma patients and they are also a leader in neonatal care, pediatric oncology, pediatric cardiology, pediatric surgery, and pediatric trauma. Pitt's medical center is also a leader in medicine and their hospital gets fantastic remarks.(Pitt's hospital is ranked #14 on US News best hospitals 2006. I couldnt see what hospitals are past #14 because I dont subscribe to US News. I think Penn State's hospital is on that list too)

I dont recommend going to the other schools because neither of them can compare with Pitt and Penn State in the medical field and they are not as good as Pitt and Penn State.
