It means that in the beginning of the game, you put a chip on the FREE block and that is the centerpoint of the game. Someone calls numbers associated with either the letters B, I, N, G, or O, and if you have that number, put another chip on it. Then you win if you get 5 chips diagonally, vertically, or horizontally. It includes the FREE block that you put a chip on earlier. Hope that helps!

It means you get to use that space as a free-spot. It is located directly in the center of the card.
